Immi is an enthusiast of Maritime History and Maritime Archaeology. She has been a diver since she was 12 years old. Immi has been working within diving industry from the beginning of ‘80s, first as a scientific diver and then within the diver training. Now she is back to what she loves the most; exploring the wrecks in the Baltic Sea and running an underwater research company SubZone.
Numerous very interesting, well preserved, pristine wrecks have been found, documented and identified in the Baltic Sea during the expeditions run by Immi with her skilled, dedicated team. These wrecks include man-of-war and merchant shipwrecks from 18th and 19th century, submarines and other warships from the WW1 and WW2 and many other wrecks with highly interesting history.
Immi has been involved through SubZone Oy with various underwater archaeological projects working closely with the Finnish National Heritage Agency and the Estonian National Heritage Board.
