Well, it’s happened. After many efforts of the Baltictech group, the wreck of Georg Buchner has been partially unblocked for diving.
You can dive on it from 01stof July 2018 – only after obtaining a permission from the Maritime Authority of Gdynia. If everything goes well, than the wreck will be included into the list of generally available wrecks for diving. Today, the first checking dives, the visibility is poor or even very poor. However, the wreck itself is an impressive 154 m long, the depth at the seabed is about 40 m, the deck is on 23 m, and the short distance from Wladyslawowo (9 nm) will probably make divers happy for the next few years. Thank you to the Maritime Authority for your patience and great cooperation, overcoming further bureaucratic obstacles, We keep going.
