Mikko Paasi is a finnish born explorer, underwater camera operator and a ccr Instructor Trainer. His professional diving carreer started at Ojamo mine, Finland, in late 90’s but he’s based in Thailand where he has run his dive center, Koh Tao Divers for the last twenty some years.
Mikko is a member of The Explorers Club and founder of Bottomline Projects NGO as well as an ambassador for several foundations and dive equipment brands. When not training ccr divers he spents his time around multiple projects documenting wrecks and flooded mines around Europe and Asia.
He has been involved with multiple film productions (Nat Geo, Disney, YLE, Discovery…) and is propably best known through his key role in the Thai cave rescue 2018, from where he was rewarded with first class Knight Grand Cross from the King of Thailand and a Life Saving medal from the President of Finland.
