With more than 25 years of diving experience, Murathan Yildiz is an accomplished technical diver, holding certifications such as, IANTD Rebreather Diver, TDI Advanced Trimix Diver and SSI Divemaster. He has conducted numerous dives into the historical shipwrecks of Gallipoli, bringing these submerged relics to life through his skills as an underwater cinematographer.
Murathan is an expert in color science and a certified DaVinci Resolve instructor. He is also a Dolby Vision professional, running an official DaVinci Resolve Training Academy, where he shares his expertise in color grading and post-production. Alongside this, he teaches underwater photography and filmmaking at Istanbul University, inspiring the next generation of underwater storytellers.
An active contributor to the diving community, Murathan serves on the board of SUFOD (Underwater Photography and Filmmakers Association). He also served as a member of the Underwater Imaging Committee for TSSF (Turkish Underwater Sports Federation) during 2022 and 2023.
At Baltictech, Murathan will provide technical divers with unique insights into the Gallipoli Historical Underwater Park, exploring its World War I shipwrecks, available facilities, equipment and gas availability in this one-of-a-kind diving destination. His presentation promises to captivate and inspire technical divers to explore these historic depths.
