Photogrammetry of a Wooden Sailing Ship

Back

During the last expedition on the way back from Sweden, we stumbled upon something new in the middle of the Baltic Sea. The echo sounder only showed a small hill at a depth of 84 m. We had all already done one dive and it took a lot of willpower to put on the gear again. Fortunately, curiosity won, and a three-person team jumped into the water. At the bottom, it turned out to be worth it. We saw a small, heavily netted wooden ship. Bartłomiej Pitala used his 25 minutes of bottom time and, as usual, did excellent photogrammetry. Now you can judge for yourself what kind of wreck it is and if it’s worth returning to.
