Piotr Michalik is based in London, UK. He has a background in financial services and wide-ranging expertise in the field, having worked in banking in the City of London for many years for Swiss, American and British banks and institutions. He has extensive knowledge of financial technology and AI. He has always had a keen interest in WW2 history and has instigated a number of initiatives including commissioning a sculpture of Krystyna Skarbek aka Christine Granville for a prestigious club in London, the only woman and longest serving Polish born spy working directly for Churchill during WW2. He is also a member of the Santi Find the Eagle team. He carries out historical research for the Santi Find the Eagle team, undertaking extensive investigations in UK archives, libraries and on field trips tracking down information to help narrow the search area for ORP Orzel. He uses his mathematical modelling skills to plot and analyse data on known obstacles identified on the sea bed, to chart survey routes and record results. He is also an enthusiastic volunteer hydrographer on expeditions.
